Sailor (CH Astrud’s Sea of Love AWD RN) is littermate to India and Rebel, and is also from Bella’s first litter born July 24, 2005. She lives in Portland with Martha Ford and dedicated canine companion Maggie Ford, who is responsible for imparting the sparkle in all our puppies! She is a black and white curly girl that stands about 20” at the shoulder and weighs about 48 lbs. She was bred by me and her sire is Mico (CH Peja Comico Cabrito CD RE AWD).

 

Sailor is sort of a super-sized clone of her mother Bella--same tight curly coat and beautiful eyes, great energy and drive, ease of movement, and same dedication to her owners. She is a finished AKC champion, following in her mother's footsteps to breed ring success in Portland. At the Rose City Classic in January 2007 she took two 4 point majors in one weekend with great handling by Jessie Peterson at the other end of the leash. Sailor has her mother's confidence in the ring, and her same cute movement. Sailor has had a few turns in the ring as  Special as well, and has several BOS and two BOB to her credit. As a novice dog trainer, Martha has done a great job with Sailor, and works with her in agility, rally, and water training, and put the Rally Novice title on Sailor herself! She earned her Apprentice Water Dog title in summer 2009. Sailor is a great worker, and as she gets older she'll end up with many more titles after her name.

 

 

Sailor is OFA Good for hips, OFA normal for elbows, Optigen B (PRA carrier), CERF clear, GM-1 normal, and JDCM 1-1 (normal).
